Almost all long haul truck drivers sleep in their trucks for some amount of time, and wherever they are parked they need to remain comfortable while they rest. Based on a study done by the American Transportation Research Institute, 72% of drivers with sleeper cabs idle their engines in order to utilize their truck's heating and cooling system and only 6% idle their engines in order to power in-cab appliances and warm the engine. Therefore, EnviroDock felt that by providing the amenities that drivers want most, which are heating, cooling and power, then we would be delivering a product that meets an overwhelming majority of their needs while at the same time enabling them to shut their engines off.
