Idle Time Can Equal Opportunity

It is estimated by the U.S. Department of Labor that there will be 3,000,000 long-haul trucks on U.S. roads by 2010. Current legislation requires that drivers rest for 10 hours for every 11 hours they drive. Therefore, 3,000,000 drivers must rest for 10 hours each and every day, representing 30,000,000 hours that trucks are off the road. If anti-idling technology is available to these drivers while they are resting, a saving of thirty million gallons of diesel fuel per year will be achieved. This would represent enormous financial savings for the trucking industry. In addition to conserving fossil fuel, there would be a dramatic reduction of emissions of CO2 and other particulates and noise pollution.
After an extensive amount of research with truck drivers and truck stop owners, EnviroDock came to the conclusion that a majority of a driver's needs could be met with a simple system that provides heating and cooling, plus electricity to power on-board appliances. With that in mind, EnviroDock created the E-Dock Stationary and E-Dock Portable: A Simple and Affordable Idling Alternative!
Newly Installed e-Dock System at the Plaza 23 Convenience Center in Albany, NY
The E-Dock system allows you to market your parking lot in a totally different way. As idling restrictions increase, drivers are going to seek out those parking areas that provide them with idling alternatives. Therefore, by choosing to install the E-Dock Stationary or E-Dock Portable you will be able to draw more drivers into your travel center by providing them the unique comforts of home at a self-determined and affordable price.
Not only can you generate revenues from the E-Dock system, but the increase in truck volume will translate into an increase in other areas of your business as well: fuel, convenience store and restaurant sales.
